Multiple numbers of people face numerous forms of discrimination on basis of Gender, Ethnicity, etc. The Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Committee (GESI) established under the Center for Rule of Law (CROL) aims to address these existing discrimination and advocate equality and promote empowerment. The GESI committee aims to organize various discussion program, seminar, and conference, and community outreach program along with the research in the concerned area.
Miss. Jyoti Singh Bhandari is Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Coordinator at Center for Rule of Law (CROL). She is also Co-Founder and Vice-Chair of Institute for Research and Studies (IRaS). She is also lecturer of Legal Research and Legal System in Bachelor of Laws programs at National Law College (NaLC), Tribhuban University Nepal. She had served as Deputy Director of Civil Law and Human Rights Research Center and Coordinator of Academic ECA at NaLC. With a Master’s Degree in Law from the University School of Law and Legal Studies, India, Ms. Bhandari has over seven years of experience of work in national and international organizations in Nepal and India. She has been involved in various research studies in the areas of Human Rights, Education, Gender, and Child Rights. Her expertise includes Research and Advocacy. She has served as Teaching Assistant in National and International Law Schools. She also worked as the Vice President of the World Organization of Student and Youth (Delhi) and Secretary at Law Students Society Nepal serving as coordinator and convener for various campaigns on Human Rights. Miss Bhandari has also presented papers on various seminars and conferences and published papers and articles in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, the environment, and women's rights.
